There are like five band members that aren't allowed to march this year because their grades were too low, or they took the worng class last year. I can see where they think the that being in band and bad grades might connect, but this just isn't true. It is proven that kids in band have better grades than kids who aren't in band. Therefore, being in band makes grades better not worse. So it is stupi if they get rid of your only tuba, your only barritone, and your first trumpet because they are too lazy to get their work done. they think thier punishing the individual, but they really punsh the whole band. This will affect our compotition scores. The sad ting is, the tuba and trupet quit because they couldn't march, even though they could have played on the sideline. Now we have to not only fill in their holes, but make up for their sound. How do you fix a part when you have absolutely NO tuba? We've already had to make numerous changes. Too many people hae switched parts as it is. As you can see, we're kind of screwed this season.
